Mr. Nobody VR Avatar
Character Design
Styling in High Fidelity Virtual World by Pearl Pospiech for the Mystic Midway's Immersive Social Theater

The Mystic Midway, a social theater troupe based in San Francisco, has been inspiring deeply transformative experiences for guests of its live productions under the leadership of Scott Levkoff since 2000.

Mr. Nobody asks guests to release their fears by naming and "feeding" them to him. In the live version we even have a remixing-of-fears audio warping technology for a truly interactive spectacle.
The goal of the VR project is to inspire mythic poetic experiences accessible to anyone in the world through immersive storytelling using digital technology.

This 3D character originally used Mixamo for the base shape and outfit. Skeleton head added in Blender.

Second version features an enlarged head, white tuxedo instead of striped one, and green orb in left eye.

Finally, the character was rigged and imported, after much trial and error, into a working High Fidelity avatar. It does help if you have your controllers in the correct hands.
